Yesterday I was reading one of my old issues of Cosmo and I stumbled upon an article that was discussing how traveling to foreign countries can be much safer for tourists if they learn local customs. Which, of course, makes a lot of sense. I mean, obviously what’s socially acceptable here (for example, women wearing itsy-bitsy mini skirts with barely there halters) in North America may not fly (and can even be dangerous to one’s well-being, or illegal) in other parts of the world. As much as some things may just seem to be common sense to us (no, it’s never OK anywhere in the world to egg a cop car – especially if there is an officer sitting inside of it), in some cases it proves wiser (more…)

You Know You Dead Azz Wrong!!!
Yes, I have recovered from Wino Post mode and am completely ready to provide you all with a 100% sober submission. 😉
We have all been in the position before where we have been the unfortunate witness to some crime against decency and sensibility at some point, something that left you scratching or shaking your head (SMH in blog lingo – and yes, I am unbelievably proud of myself for knowing that!) in utter disbelief that the scene displayed on your retina is accurately portraying reality. Because Who Da HELL in their right mind would do such a thing? What were they thinking? Are they serious?? Honestly I have never before been able to find a sentence that adequately describes that feeling of stunned humour-filled confusion. I think maybe it was (more…)
F*&$@ My Life
So the other day on facebook, I noticed that my baby sister (she’s only 15, which sadly nowadays is FAARRR from innocent…trust me, I know this. However, this knowledge doesn’t stop me from being oblivious to reality when it comes to my sister – let me live in this bubble, Dear Lord, if only for a few seconds longer!) had her “name” as ‘FML!’. Now me, living in my little bubble world, where my sister still plays with barbies and thinks people who drink are disgusting, cannot for the life of me figure out what this stands for. After scratching my head for at least two days, I relented and finally posted on her wall “What’s an FML?”. One of my HILARIOUS friends posted under this questions “YOU, RUBY, of ALL people don’t know what FML stands for? They even have a SITE dedicated to it!”, which managed to make me feel absolutely pathetic (more…)
Regression to Namecalling
So the other day while I was watching TV I felt like complete scum. And not because of what I was watching. After all, it was only X-Weighted: Families, a G-rated weight loss show that features whole families that are struggling to lose weight, with relatively little help from the show’s resident personal trainer, Paul Plakas. No, it was because of what was running through my mind, despite myself, while watching this show. Suddenly, I had regressed into a prepubescent Mean Girl, and there was nothing I could do about it. I LOVE this movie
I’ve decided to post things, occasionally, that make me laugh. Anyway, this wasn’t the clip I was looking for from this movie, but the whole thing is gold as far as I’m concerned. Enjoy!
Anyone catch the moral of the story?? lol
Cheers
Computers Suck
Ok, so after my post yesterday, and subsequent comments yesterday and today, I have drained whatever brain and typing energy I have. So, if you wanna get in to something serious or whatever, this isn’t the post–read the previous post and the comments that follow. I’ve decided to make this nice and simple. Computers suck. No really, regardless of the company, regardless of what they say the RAM or processor or whatever, they all suck. I swear if this laptop shuts down to that stupid blue screen one more time I’s seriously gonna chuck it out a window. Ok, maybe not. But only because its not mine…and mine doesn’t suck. So anyway, this is my comedic relief for today. For those of you who know me, I am in love (seriously) with the Mac PC commercials, and I love the Marvel/DC spoof on it. I also happen to love South Park, which did a cute little spoof of their own. Please enjoy, and have a great day!
Cheers
