The Medical Care System Sucks

medical-care-sucks-cemetaryI know I have been neglecting my blog for the past week, but in all fairness my medical issues (if nothing else…not even school :-p) have to trump blog priorities…at least sometimes ;-). For those of you who don’t know me, I have been having some intense abdominal pain that I am desperately seeking relief from. So far, I have been on a plethora of medication which manage to at least temporarily minimize some of my discomfort, and I now have a bushel of fruitless or pointless hospital and doctor’s visits under my belt, starting from the beginning of November with my walk in woes.

Seriously, until you are in dire need of immediate and effective medical treatment, you just can’t be truly aware of how entirely inept our medical system can be (more…)

Yes, it’s true. The Blow-Up Doll has just been brought into the 21st century. No, it’s not just that they have made a more “life-like” expression on it’s face, more human-like skin, or real human hair you can brain or flat iron! No, no, no, don’t be ridiculous folks. What they’ve done is ALL THOSE THINGS only they’ve SO taken things too far. This is no longer just a blow-up doll, it’s a “virtual girlfriend” that you can program to be whatever you want her to be (Robot Boyfriend apparently coming soon). You have GOT to see this video! New Moon

“It sounds like that movie is in competition with anything close to nothing”. Yeah, that’s about right. I mean, I wanted to see New Moon; in fact, I had had high hopes for it. In retrospect, I have no idea why since the first one was dry. I guess something in my mind had thought that because it was the first movie for the first book in the series, that they very necessarily had to have at least an hour of “dead time” where they do “character” and “plot” development so that you can understand the fantastical concepts and appreciate the quirky (more…)
