Author: Classic Ruby

Thoughtful, honest, and open-minded. Willing to “go there” just so I can have the experience…and I have no problem sharing those experiences with you. Some may call me a bitch– the fact is, I can sometimes be what others term as “too honest for my own good”. If my unwillingness to sugarcoat the truth, if your ability to take my word at what it is without having to add a grain of salt, makes me a bitch, I say more power to me. This corrupted, lying, guile-filled society could use a bit more of my brand of “bitchiness”.

Maury Show Madness: Lie Detector Tests

ok, so this wasn’t the clip that I was looking for, but it’s awesome to know that the things that kill me kill Maury too! Kudos to him, I don’t know how he manages to keep a straight face. Ever. LMAO!!

Not the most intellectual of shows, I know, but I watch Maury like it’s going out of style. But there are a few things that kill me about this show, especially considering how long it’s been airing for. As a little intellectual relief from time to time, I’m going to feature another little tidbit of Maury Madness, which will feature one of these “it kills Ruby” things. Today’s topic is:

The Stuff That Stalkers are Made From

Sometimes I am flabbergasted by the obvious insanity that I encounter on a day to day basis. The following story I am about to recount is 100% real. I have changed some of the names to protect the identity of those bat-shit crazy, overtly delusional people whose antics are being recounted within the story, however all other details will remain fully unaltered (more…)

Regression to Namecalling

mean-girlsSo the other day while I was watching TV I felt like complete scum. And not because of what I was watching. After all, it was only X-Weighted: Families, a G-rated weight loss show that features whole families that are struggling to lose weight, with relatively little help from the show’s resident personal trainer, Paul Plakas. No, it was because of what was running through my mind, despite myself, while watching this show. Suddenly, I had regressed into a prepubescent Mean Girl, and there was nothing I could do about it. That Wicked Little Witch

houseOk, so I’m not normally the type to post about TV shows, however since this one happens to touch on not only one of my previous posts, but on the first comment I received on that post, I thought I would take advantage (plus, and I know this is a fictional TV show, but damn did this scenario piss me off!).

Time to focus my aggression, funnel it into something productive (no, I honestly can’t believe that this show has aggravated me so, but sometimes you just gotta role with the punches). (more…)

Puppy-Dog Philanderer's: Cheating & Relationships: Part 3

7-types
Pretty valid (although I've come up against more reasons that just this). Sounds pretty petty when you put it this bluntly huh?

So, you’re in a great relationship. Your mate treats you very well, you get along great and share everything with each other, have passed that 3 year mark and are even talking about moving in with one another/getting married/having kids/__________(insert taking it to the next level example here), and then BAM!, without warning you find that your mate is spending more and more time online chatting, spending more time with a friend or co-worker, or arranging to see that play they really were dying to see with someone special-with someone else. You, being the fully secure, rational human being (more…)

Baby Mama/Daddy Diddling (Cheating & Relationships: Part 2)

http://badgalsradio.today.com/2009/02/18/more-maury-povitch-baby-mama-drama-fashion-tips/Many a time I have had a friend ask me questions about what they should do when it comes to their mate and their mate’s ex. People don’t come to me simply because I am so socially brilliant (although I’m sure that’s a part), but because I happen to be friends with most of my exes, and some of them have remained my very close friends. However, being childless, I don’t have as much experience in the baby mama/baby daddy realm. However, clearly there is more depth to the baby mama/daddy interaction, and at this age, and in this day and age (more…)

Amateur Detectivism (Cheating & Relationships: Part 1)

lovesmenot

The longer I am alive, the more I realize that honesty and openness are not traits that come very naturally to most people, especially when it comes to relationships. After a conversation I had yesterday with yet another friend about their mates relatively obvious deceptive behaviour, I decided it was high time to explore this concept in much more detail.

What often sparks worry in someone that their mate is being less than honest normally isn’t something huge. With the passage of time, as people get more comfortable in relationships, they aren’t as driven to call each other every five seconds, or to spend every free second together. Once their (more…)

Pay Attention to Your Kids

How in the hell did this happen? Thank God for miracles, this kid’s goose should have been cooked.  I know, I know, most people are watching the video in shock and horror, thinking to themselves “that poor woman” or “oh, how horryfying for her”. I, on the other hand, could only shake my head (more…)

Yesterday I was Propositioned by a Cabbie

taxi2

So, yesterday I was propositioned by a cab driver. Very subtly, he suggested I could get a free ride, that wasn’t quite free. Now I personally have never been in such a situation before. But I have heard about it before. I guess what happens is that Cabbie’s know that girls who have spent a mint getting wasted have lost their inhibitions and are more inclined to make such a decision…BUT…did I mention that I was dead sober and this was around 10AM?? Walk-In Woes

http://www.cartoonstock.com/lowres/rte0194l.jpg

Yesterday, I desperately needed to see a doctor. So, like most people without a family doctor, I headed to a walk-in clinic. I ended up having to go to 3 before I actually received any assistance. In between, I also had an unfortunate run-in with a very unhelpful pharmacist. My experiences yesterday had me really wondering what exactly is wrong with this sector of (more…)
